In the recent years, Canada has become a key area for Prodesa. The construction of the three main projects in the country started in 2019 and, after a successfully commissioning and start-up, all of them were already working by the end of the summer.

Firstly, Granule 777 (Barrette — Chapais- Quebec), the wood pellet plant from Barrette-Chapais group. With more than 210,000 ton of wood pellets production per year, it is considered as one of the biggest plant in Eastern Canada. Prodesa was in charge of engineering, design, procurement, commissioning and maintenance of the equipment and supervision of the installation.

Skeena Sawmills (Terrace, BC), set in British Columbia, is the first complete pelletizing plant designed and implemented entirely by Prodesa in Canada. A big case of success that has followed the turnkey model and whose annual capacity of wood pellets production is 96,000 tons per year.

The wood pellet plant Grand River Pellets (J. D. Irving — Saint-Léonard, NB) is located in New Brunswick. With an annual production of 185.000 ton per year of wood pellets, its pelleting island was design, manufactured and commissioned by Prodesa. The pelleting line is the heart of the plant and includes five pellet mills with their corresponding five coolers in order to achieve the required production and quality of wood pellets.
