Our History

José Ignacio Pedrajas and José Manuel Martínez founded PRODESA in 1999. In December 2020, José Manuel retired and José Ignacio, jointly with another investment company, acquired his shares and they currently own 100% of the shareholding of the Company. José Ignacio is PRODESA’s President since January 2021 and named José Ricardo Castro and Carlos Isábal PRODESA’s co-CEOs.

From the very beginning, the company has been developing projects in the environmental and energy sectors. First projects were related to technologies of valorization of agricultural food waste and its transformation into raw materials for animal food. 

Nowadays the main activity of PRODESA is focused on the design and construction of turn key plants related to the production of solid biofuels as wood pellets.
